Ton Up North Carolina holds an annual free event for the public called the Bull City Rumble to encourage and educate the public on the riding, restoration and racing of vintage motorcycles. To help sustain the cost of operating Bull City Rumble, and to build onto what is considered one of the largest vintage events in the State. The official Raffle Rules and Regulations are below:
Bull City Rumble 2018-2019 Official Raffle Rules and Regulations
This motorcycle raffle and fundraiser is conducted by Ton Up North Carolina, herein referred to as “TUNC”. The TUNC will operate no more than two raffles per year. All proceeds from the entries will benefit the non-profit organization TUNC, a 501 (c)(3) organization chartered by the state of North Carolina.
§ 1. 0 ELIGIBILITY: You must be 18 years of age to enter. TUNC Board Members including, but not limited to, senior staff, employees, and Team Members of TUNC along with members of their households, are not eligible to participate.
§ 2.0 FUNDRAISER DONATIONS: The raffle ticket price is not tax deductible as a contribution to TUNC. The cost of a raffle ticket is priced at (1) ticket for $10, (3) tickets for $20, (8) tickets for $50, and 19 tickets for $100. Ticket stubs purchased online will be available for inspection or pickup at the registration booth on the day of the raffle. Tickets will not be mailed. 2.1 TUNC reserves the right to offer additional multi entry purchase discounts through other applicable promotions. There is no maximum number of entries an individual may purchase. Only official donation entries will be accepted. There is no limit to how many total entries TUNC can print and sell. Odds of winning are determined only by the total number of entries sold. Entries may be made via the Bull City Rumble website at BullCityRumble.com and nortoncommandoraffle.bigcartel.com. Tickets may also be purchased in person at certain events at which TUNC is present.
§ 3.0 ENTRY SCHEDULE: The TUNC Norton Commando Raffle will commence on September 1st, 2018 when entries were first promoted and then became available. TUNC reserves the right to run ticket promotions throughout the year and reserves the right to end any promotions at any time. The random drawing will take place on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at 6PM (EST) at the Bull City Rumble and Facebook Live. All electronic entries on the website, must received by August 30th, 2019 at 11:59 PM EST. All raffle winning decisions are final.
§ 4.0 RECEIPT OF PRIZE: The winner does not need to be present to win. The winner agrees to arrange for removal of the 1974 Norton Commando by September 30th, 2019. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the Prize which will then be awarded to alternate ticket holder, No. 2, then No. 3. The winner is responsible for transportation and delivery of the Prize Motorcycle. The winner is responsible for any applicable taxes and fees including state and federal sales or income tax where applicable. TUNC will comply with all applicable tax requirements, including reporting and withholding requirements. TUNC will mail applicable tax forms to the winner of the raffle and report the prize to the IRS. TUNC will not be responsible to collect the required withholdings upon the transfer of title of the automobile to the winner and remit to the appropriate authorities.
§ 5.0 GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize is a 1974 Norton Commando 850. The winner will be contacted by telephone, e-mail and/or USPS mail as to his or her winnings immediately following the drawing. Winners will also be announced via the Bull City Rumble website, and broadcasted live via FaceBook or other social media .
§ 6.0 ENTRY LAWS: The TUNC 2018-19 Raffle is subject to all applicable laws, state or federal and is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Entrants to this fundraiser are responsible for compliance with all such laws and regulations based on their age, place of residence, etc. The winners of the Grand Prize release the TUNC and the Bull City Rumble, its stake holders and Board of Directors as well as any related project sponsors and builders from any responsibility or liability in connection with any loss, accident or death incurred with the use of this prize. Motorcycles are dangerous and will most likely result in injury or death if operated. The Grand Prize is intended for static show purposes only.
§ 7.0 ENTRY RULES: It is the TUNC right to amend, revise and interpret the Raffle Rules as it may see fit. It is expected that by donating money for an entry ticket, entrants will hold to the rules of entering as presented here.
